Wrestlers sweep three dual matches at Washington & Lee (Va.) Duals

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Ohio Northern wrestling swept three dual matches at the Washington & Lee (Va.) Duals on Sunday.

A day after finishing fourth at the Roger Williams (R.I.) Invitational in Bristol, R.I., on Saturday, the Polar Bears (3-0 overall) traveled to Lexington, Va., and defeated Hungintdon (Ala.) 49-0, Johns Hopkins (Md.) 44-3 and host Washington & Lee 39-10.

Six ONU wrestlers wrestlers went 3-0 on the day, led by seniors Cole Cochran and Cody Lovejoy and freshman Aaron Adkins.

Cochran was 3-0 with a pin and a tech fall at 133 pounds, Lovejoy was 3-0 with three pins at heavyweight and Adkins was 3-0 with two pins at 184 pounds.

Freshman Dylan Dolph was 3-0 with one pin at 141 pounds, sophomore Gennar Feucht was 3-0 with one pin and junior ColtLovejoy was 3-0 with a pin at 165 pounds.

Junior Tyler Gargano also went undefeated, posting a 2-0 mark at 174 pounds.

The Polar Bears will return to action next Sunday with a 10 am dual meet at NCAA Division I foe Davidson (N.C.)
