Women’s Lacrosse picked to finish sixth in OAC Coaches Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team was picked to finish sixth in the 2023 Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Polar Bears received 18 points in the poll.
Defending OAC regular season and tournament champion Capital was picked as the favorite in the conference for 2023, receiving 48 points and six first-place votes.
John Carroll was picked second with 44 points and the remaining two first-place votes.
Mount Union was picked third with 35 points, Otterbein was fourth with 30 points, and Baldwin Wallace was fifth with 26 points.
Led by eighth-year head coach Beth Bonnell, ONU returns 19 letter winners from last year's team that finished 7-10 overall, including 3-5 in the OAC, and earned a berth in the OAC Tournament for the second straight season.
The Polar Bears open the 2023 season on Feb. 25 hosting Kalamazoo (Mich.).
