Women’s Lacrosse picked to finish sixth in OAC Preseason Coaches Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team was picked to finish sixth in the 2022 Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Polar Bears received 33 points in the poll.
Defending OAC regular-season and tournament champion John Carroll was voted as the favorite with nine five-place votes and 57 points.
Mount Union was picked second with 55 points and two first-place votes, Capital was picked third with 48 points and one first-place vote, Baldwin Wallace was picked fourth with 45 points and one first-place vote, and Otterbein rounded out the top five with 34 points.
Led by seventh-year head coach Beth Hemminger, ONU returns 18 letter winners from last year's team that finished 7-10 and earned the program's first OAC Tournament bid.
The Polar Bears open the 2022 season Sunday at Kalamazoo (Mich.).
