Women's Golf remains 21st of 25 after second round of NCAA III Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. —The Ohio Northern women's golf team remained in 21st place after the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday at Forest Akers West Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (33-3 overall) were in 21st place in the 25-team field after the first day with a 355 and followed that up with a second round 351 on the par-72, 5818-yard course on Michigan State's campus.
Freshman Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) continues to lead ONU with an 83-80—163 and is tied for 38th in the 131-woman field.
Senior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) is tied for 98th with an 88-89—177, senior Annika Neumann (Valley City/Avon) is tied for 73rd with an 86-92—178, sophomore Meghan Utterdyke (Lebanon/Fenwick) is 118th with a 98-90—188 and sophomore Torrie Smith (Russiaville, Ind./Western) is 125th with a 102-100—202.
Fourth-ranked Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) leads the team standings with a 312-308—620, No. 2 Methodist (N.C.) is second with a 321-300—621 and No. 5 George Fox (Ore.) is third at 318-310—628.
Makenzie Toole of George Fox (Ore.) leads the field with a 2-over par 146.
The tournament will cut the field after Thursday's third round with the top 15 teams playing the fourth and final round on Friday.
ONU is scheduled to tee off with tee times every 10 minutes from 8-8:40 am.
