Women's Golf leads; Cranmer, Neumann, Honigford in three-way tie for top spot after first round of Otterbein Invitational

SUNBURY — Seniors Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) and Annika Neumann (Valley City/Avon) and freshman Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) are all tied for lead after the first round of the Otterbein Invitational on Saturday at Northstar Golf Course.
The three players all fired 6-over par 78s to lead the 42-women field after the first day of the two-day tournament.
The Polar Bears (22-3-1 overall) lead the team standings with a 318, Otterbein is second with a 327, Muskingum is third with a 365, Marietta is fourth with a 366 and Capital is fifth with a 383.
Two Otterbein players are one shot back with 79s.
Playing as individuals, sophomores Bella Orofino (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) and Torrie Smith (Russiaville, Ind./Western) are three shots back in sixth place with 81s.
Sophomore Meghan Utterdyke (Lebanon/Fenwick) shot an 84 and sophomore Olivia Galigher (Bolivar/Tuscarawas) had an 85.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Sunday with the final round of the Otterbein Invitational.
