Women's Golf posts fourth place finish at 10-team Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational

POWELL — The Ohio Northern women's golf team posted a fourth place finish at the 10-team Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Safari Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (11-12 overall) finished with 692 strokes. 

All five ONU players finished among the top 21 golfers in the 59-woman field.

Junior Ariana Tomasula led the Polar Bears with a seventh-place finish, shooting a 84-85—169 on the par-72 course.

Freshmen Suzanne Short and Caitlin Silva tied for 15th with 175s and junior Hannah Whisler tied for 19th with a 176.

Wooster won the team title with a 650, Ohio Wesleyan was second with a 683 and Columbus State CC was third with a 684.

ONU finished first out of the six Ohio Athletic Conference schools that competed.

Emily Howerton of Wooster won Medalist honors with a 77-81—158.

The Polar Bears will return to action Sept. 19-20 at the Heidelberg Invitational.
