Monday's Preview: The Polar Bears are the No. 7 seed in this week's OAC Tournament and will host No. 10-seeded Heidelberg on Monday at 7 pm at the ONU Sports Center ... No fans will be allowed to attend the games due to the OAC's COVID-19 policy ... Ohio Northern used a dominant defensive effort and 14 points from Lexi Jacobs to post a 61-53 women's basketball victory over Baldwin Wallace on Senior Night at the ONU Sports Center Saturday ... ONU also got 10 points and eight rebounds from senior Emily Brock and freshman Kristen Luersman  ... Senior Sydney Ward leads the team in scoring at 9.4 ppg ... She also leads the team and is 6th in the OAC with an average of 6.8 rebounds per contest ... Sophomore Brynn Serbin is 2nd in scoring at 7.8 ppg, and leads the team with 25 assists and 21 steals ... Junior Kate Iliff is 3rd on the team in scoring at 6.9 ppg ... Northern leads the OAC in scoring defense, allowing only 57.3 ppg, and in turnovers, committing only 13.8 per game ... Ohio Northern is gunning for its fifth OAC Tournament title ... The Polar Bears won the crown in 2017, 2013, 1988 and 1986 ... Northern has also been runner-up six times ... Tonight's ONU-HU winner will advance to the Quarterfinals and will play at Otterbein on Tuesday night at 7 pm ... The Student Princes are the No. 10 seed in this week's OAC Tournament ... HU is looking to snap a 9-game losing streak and fell twice to Wilmington last weekend 98-82 and 64-62 ... Senior Brooke Beamer leads the team and is sixth in the OAC in scoring at 14.3 ppg ... She has scored 999 career points at Heidelberg and needs just one more to reach the 1,000-point plateau ... Freshman Karlee Mills is second on the team at 10.5 ppg ... Sophomore Bailey Walter averages 8.7 ppg and is fourth in the OAC in rebounding at 7.4 rpg.
