ANGOLA, Ind. — The Ohio Northern softball team dropped a doubleheader at No. 11-ranked Trine (Ind.) on Wednesday afternoon. ONU fell 14-0 in the first game and 10-2 in the second game.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (3-9 overall), #11 Trine (12-4 overall).

Game 1 - L, 0-14 (5 innings)
- The game was called after five innings due to the NCAA's 8-run rule.
- Trine scored twice in the first inning and scored 10 more runs in the second inning to take an early 12-0 lead.
- Sophomore Taylor Keck (Wadsworth) had 3 strikeouts in 3.0 innings in the circle for the Polar Bears.
- TU out-hit ONU 13-0.

- In the top of the first inning, junior Allie Wilson (Wapakoneta) hit a 2-RBI double to score seniors Ashley Lenser (Brookville) and Callie Rosser (Republic/Monroeville), making the score 2-0.
- Trine hit 3-run homers in each the first and third innings to go up 6-2.
- The Thunder scored three more runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth to make the score 10-2.
- Wilson went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs to lead the Polar Bears.
