WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The Ohio Northern softball team continued its spring break trip with losses to Swarthmore (Pa.) and Lakeland (Wis.) on Tuesday morning. ONU fell 10-2 to SC and 10-2 to LU.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (1-5 overall), Swarthmore (Pa.) (5-5 overall), Lakeland (Wis.) (2-2 overall).

Game 1 - L, 2-10 v SC (6 innings)
- The game was called after six innings due to the NCAA's 8-run rule.
- Swarthmore took a 3-0 lead after two innings.
- Senior Callie Rosser (Republic/Monroeville) hit a solo homer in the bottom of the second for her 100th career hit.
- Freshman Ava Jolin (Williamston, Mich.) stole home in the third inning to make the score 4-2.
- SC scored three more runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
- Senior Ashley Lenser (Brookville) pitched four innings and had four strikeouts.
- SC out-hit ONU 11-4.

- The game was called after five innings due to the NCAA's 8-run rule.
- Lakeland scored twice in the bottom of the second inning to take a 2-0 lead.
- Freshman Mackenzie Hannahs (Alexandria/Northridge) singled to score freshman Melanie Amann (Columbus/Upper Arlington).
- Freshman Jaylee Fansler (Plainfield, Ind./Avon) then scored off an error by the left fielder to tie the game up 2-2.
- The Muskies scored 8 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take back the lead.
- LU out-hit ONU 9-4.

- Rosser became the 47th member of ONU's 100-Hit Club.
- Lenser has 87 career base hits. She also ranks sixth all-time in ONU history with 255 career strikeouts.
