This Weekend's Series: The Polar Bears will begin the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their 2021 season underway with a four-game series with Capital this weekend ... ONU and CU will play twice in Bexley on Saturday and twice in Ada on Sunday ... A limited number of spectators will be allowed to attend the games due based on the OAC's COVID-19 policy ... Each player will receive two admissions each game ... No tickets will be available to the general public will not be admitted ... The OAC eliminated non-conference games for 2021 and adopted a 36-game, double round-robin league schedule ... Thru 3 games this season, sophomore Sydney Motylinski leads the team with a .667 batting average and 4 RBI ... Senior Gabby Stewart is second with a .556 average ... Senior Brady Guest ranks 10th in ONU history with 13 HRs and is 31st with 111 base hits ... Senior Alicia Swierz needs only 6 hits to become the 40th member of ONU's 100-Hit Club ... Stewart ranks 10th on ONU's all-time career hits list with 161 and is seventh with 14 home runs and 113 RBI ... This weekend's contests will be the 2021 season openers for the Crusaders ... CU had its non-conference 4-game series with Marietta canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns ... Capital had a 2-5 record when its 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic ... CU posted a 12-28 overall record and was 4-14 in the Ohio Athletic Conference in 2019 ... Head Coach Andrea Nagy is in ehr second season at the helm of the Crusaders.
