MARIETTA -- Sophomore Kelly Sheridan collected three hits to lead Ohio Northern in a softball double header at Marietta on Friday.
The Polar Bears fall to 1-9 overall and are 0-4 in Ohio Athletic Conference play after 8-1 and 4-1 setbacks.
The Pioneers improve to 13-5, 4-0.
In Game 1, Sheridan went 2-for-4 with an RBI, scoring junior Christin Miller with an RBI double in the top of the third inning.
MC scored twice in the second inning and added three runs in the fourth and sixth innings to post the victory.
In Game 2, Marietta scored four times in the bottom of the first and made it stand up for the sweep.
Junior Carly McKenzie scored an unearned run in the top of the sixth to account for ONU's score.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday with a home double header at Capital.
