CLERMONT, Fla. — The Ohio Northern softball team split a pair of games on Day 3 of its spring break trip to the NTC Games.
The Polar Bears move to 4-2 after a 2-1 loss to Berry (Ga.) and an 11-4 victory over No. 18-ranked Moravian (Pa.)
Against Moravian, senior two-time All-American Jackie Mangola went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI and a home run to lead ONU.
Mangola's solo home run in the third gave ONU an early 1-run lead.
Northern scored nine times in the top of the sixth frame to rally from a 4-2 deficit.
Sophomore Christin Miller went 2-for-5 with 3 RBI to help ONU's 15-hit attack.
Against Berry, the Vikings scored a run in the top of the sixth frame to break a 1-1 tie.
Junior Ashley Sujkowski scored freshman Kelly Sheridan on a fourth-inning sac fly to tie the game at 1-1.
The Polar Bears will continue their annual spring break trip on Thursday against Lebanon Valley (Pa.) and Marywood (Pa.)
