Men's Swimming and Diving opens 2025 OAC Championships with fourth place finish in 800-yard free relay

AKRON — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team opened the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships meet with a fourth place finish in the 800-yard free relay in 7:00.74 on Wednesday night.

The Basics

Records: Ohio Northern (5-3 overall).
Venue: Ocasek Natatorium - Akron, Ohio.
Ohio Northern is in fourth place out of 6 teams with 30 points after one the 20 events over a four-day span.
John Carroll won the event and leads the team standings with 40 points. Wilmington is second with 36 points, Mount Union is third with 32 points, Baldwin Wallace is fifth with 28 points and Heidelberg is sixth with 26 points.

Freshman Chase McCluskey (Pickerington/North), senior Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas), sophomore Nathan Herbert (Medina/Highland) and junior Tyler Edmonds (Youngsville, La./Southside) were fourth in the 800 free relay in 7:00.74.
