Men's Swimming and Diving tops Oberlin, falls to No. 2 Kenyon in road tri-meet

OBERLIN — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team split a tri-meet at Oberlin with No. 2-ranked Kenyon and at Oberlin's Carr Pool on Friday night.
The Polar Bears (2-2 overall) defeated Oberlin 164-124 and fell to Kenyon 189-91.
Sophomores Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) and Holden Cubberley (Celina) led Ohio Northern.
Horgan won the 50 free in :21.91 and Cubberley finished first of two in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events.
Freshmen Long Huynh (Billings, Mt./West), Tyler Edmonds (Youngsville, La./Southside) and Carter Detweiler (Newton, Pa./Council Rock) each had second place finishes.
Huynh was second in the 200 fly in 2:00.10, Edmonds was second in the 200 I.M. in 2:04.44 and Detweiler was second in the 200 free in 1:47.21.
Senior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) and freshman Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) each had third place finishes, as Stanley was third in the 100 fly in :52.80 and Clark was third in the 100 free in :49.07.
The Polar Bears return to action Saturday at 1 pm with an Ohio Athletic Conference meet at Mount Union.
