Meet Preview: The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team is competing in a 2-day quad meet against host Calvin (Mich.) with Albion (Mich.) and Carthage (Wis.) … The Polar Bears will compete at 6 p.m. on Friday and at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday … Northern is coming off Saturday's 181-103 loss at No. 18 John Carroll … Senior Jackson Stanley won the 200 fly in 2:00.54, with Cope in second place in 2:05.97 ... Sophomore Holden Cubberley won the 1-meter diving with 289.35 points, while junior teammate Charlie Spyker was second with 190.80 points ... Cubberley won the 3-meter diving unopposed with 272.78 points as JCU did not enter any divers in the meet ... Freshman Carter Detweiler was second in the 500 free behind Cope in 5:01.69 ... Calvin (Mich.) is coming off a 165-75 loss at Grand Valley State (Mich.) on Oct. 14 ... The Knights also competed in the non-scoring MIAA Relays and the Michigan Invitational … Albion (Mich.) got a 129-111 win at Wabash (Ind.) last Saturday … Carthage (Wis.) got a 123-112 win at Lake Forest College (Ill.) on Saturday.
