The Championships: Freshman Holden Cubberley will compete in the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday and Friday at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis … The 3-meter diving competition will be held at approximately 1 pm on Wednesday and the 1-meter event will be held on Friday at approximately 1 pm ... Each diver will compete in 11 dives (5 voluntary and 6 optional) in the Trials portion of the competition at 1 pm ... The top eight finishers in the Trials will advance to the Finals at approximately 8 pm ... Finishers 9-16 will advance to the Consolation Finals in the afternoon immediately after the conclusion of the Trials ... In the Finals/Consolation Finals, each diver will start with their voluntary score from the Trials and will compete in 6 optional dives to determine places 9-16 and 1-8 ... The top eight finishers will earn All-America honors with finishers 9-16 earning Honorable Mention All-America honors ... Cubberley qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing ninth on the 1-meter board (421.90) and was fifth on the 3-meter board (461.65) ... Cubberley won both the 1- and 3-meter diving competitons and was named the OAC Men's Diver of the Year at the OAC Championships in Akron Feb. 17-19 ... He won the 1-meter with 491.75 points and took the 3-meter with a school record 500.75 points.
