Weekend Preview: The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team is competing in its first dual meet of the season at Ohio Athletic Conference foe Wilmington on Friday at 6 p.m. before traveling to Hillsdale, Mich., on Saturday to face Hope (Mich.) … The Polar Bears are coming off opening their season with a third-place finish at the five-team Kenyon Relays, finishing behind Kenyon and Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) and ahead of Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg … In the format in which each team scored only its top-finishing team in each relay, ONU scored the 8 third-place points in six of the eight events … Northern was third in the 200 medley relay in 1:36.84, the 500 crescendo relay in 4:15.44, the 200 butterfly relay in 1:36.04, the 3x500 freestyle relay in 15:31.54, the 400 I.M. relay in 3:52.34 and the 200 freestyle relay in 1:29.28 … Senior Jeremy Adams and sophomore Ben Lacey were each on four of those relay teams to lead the Polar Bears, and freshman Brady Horgan competed in three of the events … Wilmington is coming off last Saturday's season-opening 160-44 loss at Baldwin Wallace … Hope (Mich.) opens its season on Friday at the MIAA Relays at Calvin (Mich.).
