Men picked to finish fourth, women sixth in OAC Preseason Lacrosse Coaches Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish fourth and the women were picked to finish sixth in the Ohio Athletic Conference in 2024 in preseason polls voted on by league coaches.
In the men's poll, the Polar Bears received 61 points in a tight race among the top four teams.
John Carroll was picked first with 79 points and seven first place votes, Baldwin Wallace second with 73 points and two first place votes, Capital third with 63 points and the final first place vote and Mount Union was fifth with 43 points.
The Northern men will open their season on Saturday when they host St. Vincent (Pa.) under ninth-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.
On the women's side, ONU received 18 points in the poll.
Mount Union was picked first with 47 points and five first place votes, Capital second with 43 points and two first place votes, John Carroll third with 39 points and the final first place vote and Marietta was fourth with 29 points.
The Polar Bear women will open their 2024 campaign on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Adrian (Mich.) under first-year head coach Margo Vandeveld.
