Bio
Margo Vandeveld is in her second season as women's lacrosse head coach at Ohio Northern in 2024-25.
She was named head coach in October 2023.
In her first season at the helm, Vandeveld led the Polar Bears to a school-record 9 victories and the program's first winning season since of the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign.
She coached three All-Conference honorees, three Academic All-District award winners and five Academic All-OAC selections.
Her 2024 squad set a school record with 229 goals, edging the 228 set by the 2021 squad, and with 16 games with 10 or more goals.
Vandeveld came to ONU in the fall of 2023 as an assistant women's lacrosse coach after serving as a mental performance coach for MOD Volleyball in Northbrook, Ill.
She also has experience as a varsity and JV lacrosse and tennis coach at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Chicago, Ill.
Vandeveld graduated from Tufts University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in cognitive and brain science and later graduated from Adler University with a master's degree in sport and human performance psychology.
While at Tufts, she was a varsity athlete on the women's lacrosse and women's track and field teams.
Vandeveld currently resides in Findlay, Ohio.
