David Walsh fires first round 75 to lead Men's Golf at Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic

SYLVANIA — Sophomore David Walsh (Cincinnati/Moeller) fired a first round 75 to stand in second place out of 56 golders after the first round of the Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic on Saturday at the Bluffton Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (7-11 overall) posted a 310 through 18 holes of the 36-hole tournament and trail only Wooster by five strokes in the 7-team field.
Lourdes is third with a 317, Bluffton is fourth with a 325 and Tiffin is fifth with a 329.
Freshman Anthony Naso (Grosse Ile, Mich.) is tied for third with a 76, freshman Bennet Christy (Plymouth, Ind.) is tied for sixth with a 77 and senior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) is tied for 26th with an 82.
Krishang Nayak of Wooster leads the individual standings with a 70.
The Polar Bears will wrap up the tournament with 18 more holes on Sunday beginning at 9:30 am.
