Men's Golf in fourth place after Day 1 of Otterbein Invitational

SUNBURY —The Ohio Northern men's golf team is in fourth place out of five teams after the first round of the Otterbein Invitational on Saturday at Northstar Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (12-19-2 overall) have 322 strokes after the first of two rounds. Otterbein holds the team lead with a 304, Capital is second at 312, Marietta is third at 315 and Muskingum if fifth at 323.
Junior Andrew Slusher (Covington) led ONU in the first round with a 2-over par 74.
Sophomore Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) carded an 80, junior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) shot an 83, junior Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) had an 85 and junior Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) posted an 88.
Complete results will be posted when they become available.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Sunday with the final round of the Otterbein Invitational.
