Senior Joe Tootle named OAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

ADA – Ohio Northern senior Joe Tootle (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 9-16.

This is Tootle's first time receiving the honor.

Tootle (3-0) struck out 2 in 1.2 innings to get a 5-4 win over Suffolk (Mass.) on Wednesday and struck out 5 in a 2-1 win over Loras (Iowa) on Friday.

He finished ONU's spring break trip with a 2-0 record and a 0.69 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 13.0 innings of work. 

The Polar Bears (10-5 Overall) return to action on Thursday against Asbury (Ky.) in Cincinnati at 5 p.m.
