Sophomore Caleb Thomas named Ohio Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Caleb Thomas (Strongsville) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of Mar. 12-18.

Thomas earned the honor for the first time in his career.

The sophomore led Northern at the plate in a 3-game series with Thomas More (Ky.) this past weekend as he went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, including a home run and added five RBI and four runs scored in the 19-6 victory over TMC.

In a 3-2 victory over the Saints, Thomas led the way at the plate as he went 2-for-4 and added a 2-RBI home run over the center field fence in the top of the first inning.

The Polar Bears return to action Tuesday evening as they travel to Trine (Ind.) and take on the Thunder at 4 pm.
