Sophomore T.J. Storer earns All-America honors; Senior Nick Eltzroth named All-Midwest Region

ADA — Sophomore T.J. Storer and senior Nick Eltzroth both earned D3baseball.com All-Midwest Region honors announced Monday.
Storer was named Third Team All-America and also received First Team All-Midwest Region honors.
The sophomore found success on the mound for ONU recording a team and conference leading eight saves.
Storer made 12 appearances in 2016, surrendering only two earned runs while posting a team best 0.49 ERA in relief action.
He is currently ranked first all-time in Northern history in career saves (13) and ERA (1.23).
The sophomore is also tied for second in saves in a single season and third in ERA.
Eltzroth was named Third Team All-Region, capturing his second honor of his career.
The senior was a utility player for ONU last season appearing in all 37 games, splitting time between left field and the pitchers mound.
On the mound, Eltzroth made nine appearances with nine starts, posting a 5-4 overall record.
He made efficient work on the bump for ONU in 2016, recording 51 strikeouts through 52.2 innings of work, posting a 3.42 ERA.
In his career, the senior has collected 20 wins moving him into sixth all-time in ONU career history.
Eltzroth also found success at the dish recording a team-high in hits (47), doubles (8), homeruns (4), and walks (21).
The senior recorded two or more hits in 14 of the Polar Bears 37 games this season.
Eltzroth is also a member of the 100-hit club, finishing his career with 148 hits ranking him 18th in Northern history.
Northern finished the season 21-16 overall, 9-9 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
