UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- The Ohio Northern baseball team concluded its season by dropping both games of a double header to John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at Schweickert Field.
Northern closes its season at 17-21 overall and 8-10 in the OAC, while Blue Streaks are 25-14, 13-5.
Seniors Devin Kisor and Kevin Obarski paced the Polar Bears in their 7-5 Game 1 loss, collecting three hits each.
ONU scored three times in the first inning to take the early lead.
Senior Cory Martin hit an RBI single that scored Kisor and Obarski ripped a 2-RBI single that scored sophomore Jack LaMarca and Martin.
But John Carroll came right back, plating four runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead.
The Blue Streaks added a run in the third and two more in the fourth to take a 7-3 lead.
Northern rallied in the seventh, scoring twice with Martin hitting a sac fly and LaMarca scoring on a wild pitch.
Senior Austin Price (4-3) pitched a complete game, giving up four earned runs and striking out two.
In Game 2, freshman Ben Glischinski (2-2) went five innings, giving up two runs and freshman Alex Crabtree pitched three innings in relief, without giving up an earned run.
JCU scored twice in the fifth and tacked on an insurance run in the eighth to walk away with the 3-0 win.
