Sara (Stewart) Rhymer set the tone for the ONU Volleyball program in its early years, becoming the team's first 3-time All-American.
She was named 1st Team All-America in 1989 and 1990 and 2nd Team All-America in 1988.
Stewart led the Polar Bears to the NCAA Division III Tournament Finals in 1989 and to NCAA Tournament berths in 1988 and 1990.
She still holds the program records with 35 kills in a single match against Heidelberg in 1990 and a season hitting percentage of .492 in 1990.
Stewart ranks fifth in ONU history with 1,431 kills and is second with a career .363 hitting percentage.
