Four Polar Bears named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Volleyball Team

ADA — Seniors Sonia Dahlin (Minnetonka, Min.), Rachel Jennings (Novi, Mich.) and Erin Wagner (Massillon/Perry) and sophomore Olivia Baumann (Eaton) were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District Volleyball Team for the 2024 season.
This marks the third career CSC Academic All-District accolade for Jennings, second for Dahlin and Wagner and first for Baumann.
Wagner led the Polar Bears on the court this season, earning Third Team All-America recognition in addition to All-OAC First Team honors. She was also and OAC Offensive Player of the Week selection five times this season.
An exercise physiology major, Wagner led the OAC in total kills (401), hitting percentage (.379) and kills per set (4.18) in 26 games in 2024.
In 100 games at ONU, Wagner has 1,200 kills, 239 blocks, 170 digs and a .329 hitting percentage. She is ranked fourth all-time in program history in hitting percentage and ninth in total kills.
Jennings was named OAC Witte-Zicha Libero of the Year and is now a four-time Second Team All-OAC honoree. Jennings finished the season with a team-high 490 digs and 41 service aces along with 122 assists in 28 games. The psychology major ranked sixth in the OAC in digs per set (4.85) and seventh in total digs (490).
In 108 matches at ONU, Jennings has 2,096 digs, 389 assists and 165 aces. She ranks fifth all-time at ONU in career digs.
Dahlin was an All-OAC Honorable Mention selection in 2023 and is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection. This season, she ranked third on the team in blocks (44), fourth on the team in kills (171) and fifth on the team in hitting percentage (.234).
A marketing major, Dahlin has played in 87 career games and has 619 kills with a .218 hitting percentage to go with 181 blocks and 107 digs.
Baumann ranked fifth on the team with 163 kills to go with 29 blocks and 91 digs.
A business administration major, Baumann has played in 49 career games through two seasons at ONU. She has 253 kills, 44 blocks and 133 digs.
The CSC Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 9.
The Polar Bears finished 20-9 overall and were fifth in the OAC with a 5-4 mark in 2024 under second-year head coach Sophie Windover.
