Wagner leads Polar Bears in sweep over Muskingum

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team got 11 kills from junior Erin Wagner (Massillon/Perry) in a 25-22, 25-22, 25-15 victory over Muskingum in an Ohio Athletic Conference contest Friday evening at the ONU Sports Center.

- In the opening set, ONU broke a 7-all tie with a 10-3 run to lead 17-10. MU had a 7-2 run to pull within 23-22 but back to back kills from James and sophomore Caroline Hensley (Loveland/Bishop Fenwick) won the set 25-22 for ONU.
- The Polar Bears used a 11-2 run to turn a 2-all tie lead into a 13-4 advantage in Set 2. The Fighting Muskies fought hard with a 10-5 run closing the gap to 24-22 but a kill from Baumann ended the set.
- Ohio Northern rolled in Set 3, going on a 12-3 runs to lead 14-5 en route to a 25-15 victory.
- The Polar Bears hit .258 with 46 kills, while the Muskies hit .168 with 37 kills.

- Jennings has 1,478 career digs, and is now #10 ONU's all-time top 10 in that category.
- Conrad has 1,702 career assists. She is just 70 assists away from joining ONU's top-10 list in the category.
- Wagner ranks seventh all-time in ONU's top-10 list for hitting percentage, hitting .301 in 68 career matches.
- ONU leads the all-time series with Muskingum by a 64-17 margin. ONU is now 28-6 in matches at home.
