ADA — Sophomore Sonia Dahlin (Minnetonka, Minn.) pounded 16 kills and added three service aces while fellow sophomore Erin Wagner (Massillon/Perry) tallied 14 kills to lead the Ohio Northern volleyball team to a 25-16, 30-28, 20-25, 25-22 victory over OAC rival Heidelberg on Wednesday night at the King Horn Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 14-5 overall and 4-0 in the OAC on the season, while the Student Princes fall to 6-14, 1-3.
Juniors Kaidie Carstensen (Raymond/Fairbanks) and Ava Ehlinger (New Carlise/Tecumseh) added 12 and 11 kills for ONU, respectively.
Lexi Evak and Lexi Wachtman had 12 kills, and Julianna Pena added 23 assists for Heidelberg.
Sophomore Grace Conrad (Somerset/Sheridan) dished out a career-high 52 assists, and sophomore Rachel Jennings (Novi, Mich.) had 24 digs for Ohio Northern.
ONU hit .194 for the match with 63 kills and 29 errors on 175 attacks, while the Student Princes hit .150 with 51 kills and 26 errors on 167 attempts.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at OAC foe John Carroll.
