ADA — Sophomore Sonia Dahlin (Minnetonka, Minn.) had 11 kills and four blocks and sophomore Lauren James (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) added nine kills and four blocks as the Ohio Northern volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 26-24, 25-22, 16-25, 25-22 victory at No. 17-ranked Otterbein on Wednesday night at the Rike Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 12-5 overall on the season, while the Cardinals fall to 14-5, 2-1.
Sophomore Erin Wagner (Massillon/Perry) added eight kills for ONU.
Aubrey Geis had 16 kills, Kennedy Hoffman and 14 kills and Morgan Hartman added 12 kills for Otterbein.
Freshman Caroline Hensley (Loveland/BishopFenwick) dished out 25 assists and sophomore Rachel Jennings (Novi, Mich.) had 22 digs for Ohio Northern.
ONU hit .170 for the match with 45 kills and 21 errors on 141 attacks, while the Cardinals hit .185 with 57 kills and 29 errors on 151 attempts.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday with a 1 pm match at OAC foe Capital.
