No. 18 Volleyball to face DePauw (Ind.) in First Round of NCAA III Tournament on Friday

ADA — The No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team will travel to Westerville and face DePauw (Ind.) in the First Round of the 64-team NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday at 5:30 pm.
The Polar Bears (27-5 overall) earned an at-large bid after winning a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title and reaching the finals of the OAC Tournament on Saturday under 27th-year head coach Kate Witte.
DePauw (20-7 overall) qualified for the NCAA Tournament as an at-large after falling to No. 4 Wittenberg in the North Coast Tournament finals.
With a victory over the Tigers, the Polar Bears would face either tournament host Otterbein or Cabrini (Pa.) in the Second Round on Saturday at 5 pm.
The other half of the bracket features Wittenberg facing Penn State-Behrend and No. 22 Juniata (pa.) playing Brockport State (N.Y.) in the two other First Round matches.
The Third Round will be on Sunday at 2 pm with a spot in the NCAA III Quarterfinals in Grand Rapids, Mich., on the line.
ONU will be making its 30th appearance at the NCAA III Tournament.
The Polar Bears and Tigers met earlier this season, with Ohio Northern posting a 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22 win at the Illinois Wesleyan Tournament on Sept. 9.
