Balanced offensive attack leads No. 23 Volleyball to four set victory over Mount Union

ADA - The No. 23-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team extended it's winning streak to 10 matches as they defeated Mount Union in four sets Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 17-4 overall and 3-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Raiders fall to 13-7, 2-1.
Northern was balanced offensively, as three Polar Bears recorded 10 kills to lead the way.
ONU hit .261 for the match and added 50 kills and nine blocks, while Mount Union hit .160 and recorded 51 kills.
Sophomore Haley Potters had 10 kills and added a game-high six blocks for Northern while hitting .364 on the afternoon.
Senior Kaitlann Hogrefe posted 10 kills on a game-high .529 hitting percentage and also added a block.
Junior Claire Heitkamp also recorded 10 kills for Northern on the afternoon.
The Polar Bears found themselves in an early hole as they dropped set one of the match 17-25.
Northern would respond with a 25-13 victory in set two and would go on to win the next two sets 25-18 and 25-17.
Sophomore Megan Nieszala added a game-high 23 digs.
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday evening at 7 pm as they host the Otterbein Cardinals at the ONU Sports Center.
