SPRINGFIELD — The Ohio Northern volleyball team opened the Wittenberg Classic with a 25-14, 25-19, 25-21 loss to No. 3-ranked Calvin (Mich.) Friday afternoon at Wittenberg's HPER Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 9-2 on the season, while the Knights improve to 9-0.
Senior Kelsie Zumberger had five kills, dished out 19 assists and had six digs, junior Jeni Kmic had 15 digs and freshman Ellie Gillespie had a team-high six kills to lead Ohio Northern.
The Polar Bears will return to action Friday night at 6 pm against Mount Saint Joseph.
