Junior Abby Cruser named OAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 10-16.

This is Cruser's second time receiving the honor in her career.

The recognition comes after she posted a 5-1 record at the Transylvania (Ky.) Classic this weekend. On Saturday, she went 2-0 in singles play to lead Ohio Northern. On Sunday, she won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles and also won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Cruser is tied for the team lead with a 9-3 singles record.

The Polar Bears (3-0 overall) return to action Saturday at Northerwestern Ohio (1-0 overall) at 1 p.m.
