Women's Tennis falls 7-2 at Transylvania (Ky.)

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Transylvania (Ky.) on Saturday morning at the Top Seed Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears (8-2 overall) finished the Transylvania Pioneer Invite with a 1-2 record after defeating Greenville (Ill.) 6-3 and falling to Asbury (Ky.) 7-2 on Saturday.
The Pioneers improve to 9-2 on the season.
Freshmen Miranda Wills (Ada) and Katie O'Connell (Novi, Mich./Saint Catherine) each won singles courts to lead ONU.
Wills won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles and O'Connell won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
TU swept the doubles to lead 3-0, then won four of the six singles courts to post the victory.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Sunday at NCAA Division I foe Dayton.
