Wednesday's Match: The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will continue its abbreviated 2021 season on Sunday with a 3:30 pm OAC contest against Baldwin Wallace ... A limited number of spectators will be allowed to attend the games based on the OAC's COVID-19 policy ... Each player will receive two admissions each game ... No tickets will be available to the general public ... ONU improved to 5-0 overall with an 8-1 non-conference win over Mount Union on Sunday ... Sophomore Regan Landis led the Polar Bears with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles and an 8-0 win with senior Katie Curry at No. 1 doubles ... Northern swept the doubles courts as junior Ola Latala and freshman Olivia Kesner won at 8-2 at No. 1 doubles and senior Mackenzie Wills and sophomore Jeorgia Templin won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles ... ONU then won five of the six singles courts, led by Landis at No. 2 ... Kesner won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3, Curry won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, Wills won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and senior Jordan Dodson won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 ... Wills is ONU's all-time career singles wins leader with 87 ... She is also second all-time at ONU with a career record of 170-49 and is third all-time with an 83-31 mark in doubles matches ... She needs only two more overall wins to tie the school record of 172 set by Meghan Letizia from 2012-16 ... Wills is also six doubles wins shy of Letizia's record of 89 ... Curry ranks seventh all-time in ONU history with a 141-53 career record ... She also ranks fourth all-time in ONU history with a singles mark of 78-20 ... The Yellow Jackets are off to a 2-0 start with victories over Mount Union and Muskingum ... Senior Ashtyn Morris leads Baldwin Wallace with a 4-0 record, going 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles ... Freshman Gabriella Heidman is also 4-0 ... She is 1-0 playing at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and is 1-0 at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles.

Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 20th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 386-102 (.791) record, including a 144-15 (.906) mark in regular season conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles ... He was recently recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as one of the top 10 all-time winning women's tennis coaches in the nation.
