Wills, Curry lead Women's Tennis to split with Transylvania, LaGrange

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — Seniors Mackenzie Wills (Ada) and Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) each posted 4-0 records to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team to a win and a loss on Saturday at the Top Seed Tennis Club.
The Polar Bears (4-2 overall) began the day with a 5-4 loss to host Transylvania (Ky.), but rallied for a 9-0 victory over LaGrange (Ga.) in the nightcap.
Wills won at Nos. 3 and 4 singles and was 2-0 at No. 2 doubles with freshman Jeorgia Templin (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern).
Curry went 1-0 at Nos. 4-5 singles and was 2-0 at No. 3 doubles with freshman Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Concord).
The Polar Bears will return to action on Sunday against Roanoke (Va.) at 1 pm at the Top Seed courts.
