Women's Tennis splits two matches at Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational

ALLEGHENY, Pa. — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team traveled to the Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday morning, defeating Baldwin Wallace 6-2 and falling to Allegheny 6-3 at the Robertson Tennis Complex.
ONU (1-1 overall) was led by freshman Jeorgia Templin (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern), who went 4-0 overall, and senior Mackenzie Wills (Ada), who was 3-1 on the day.
In the match against Baldwin Wallace (1-4 overall), Templin won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 6 singles and teamed up with sophomore Olivia Schrager (Dayton/Miami Valley) to win 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Wills won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and partnered freshman Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Concord) to win 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Sophomore Abigail Staskiewicz (Mars, Pa./Oakland Catholic) won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
In the match against Allegheny (3-0 overall), Wills and Templin each earned wins in singles.
The combination of Templin and Schrager won 8-7 (7-2) at No. 3 doubles.
Ohio Northern has completed its fall schedule and will return to action on Feb. 15 at Transylvania (Ky.).
