Women's Tennis posts 9-0 victories over Albion (Mich.) and Adrian (Mich.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team rebounded from there first loss of the season with a pair of convincing 9-0 shutout victories over Albion (Mich.) and Adrian (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears improve to 4-1 on the season.
Senior Lynn Kelly (Mason) led the way for the Polar Bears, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles in both contests.
Junior Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) was also 2-0 at No. 1 singles, posting a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Albion, before posting a convincing 6-0, 6-0 victory against Adrian in singles play.
Against Adrian, sophomore Mackenzie Wills (Ada) and sophomore Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) posted 6-1, 6-1 victories at Nos. 5 and 6 singles respectively.
Sophomore Ola Latala (Grosse Ile, Mich.) won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles against Adrian, while freshman Sabine Worthoff (West Chester/Mount Notre Dame) posted a 6-0, 6-01 victory at No. 4 singles.
Northern went 3-0 in doubles play in both contests as to get out to quick starts in both contests.
In the match against Albion, Curry would win 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles, after teaming up with Wills to post an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 doubles.
Northern returns to action on Mar. 5 as it travels to Orlando, Fla. to take on Minnesota State Moorhead and Carthage (Wis.) on the opening day of its spring break trip.
