Women's Tennis wraps up fall schedule at ITA Regionals, Oberlin Open

OBERLIN — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team competed at the non-scoring ITA Central Regional Tournament and the Oberlin Open singles tournament Friday-Sunday at Huntsinger Courts.
Senior Lynn Kelly (Mason) and junior Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) were the two ONU singles players invited to participate in the ITA singles tournament as one of the region's top 64 players.
Ochsenhirt posted a 1-2 singles record, while Kelly went 0-2.
The pair also posted a 1-1 record in doubles.
Sophomores Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) and Ola Latala (Grosse Ile, Mich.) went 0-2 in doubles, as did sophomore Mackenzie Wills (Ada) and freshman Sabine Worthoff (West Chester/Mount Notre Dame).
Running alongside the ITA tournament was the Oberlin Open singles tournament.
Sophomore Kaleigh Cimmins (Springfield/Northeastern) posted a 3-0 record to lead the Polar Bears in that tournament.
Wills (2-1), Latala (1-2) and Worthoff (1-2) also posted wins.
The Polar Bears will return to action Feb. 16 and 17 with road matches at Kalamazoo (Mich.) and Albion (Mich.)
