Women's Tennis wraps up play in OAC Tennis Fest with 9-0 victory over Marietta

MASON -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team swept all nine courts and wrapped up its play in the OAC Tennis Fest with a 9-0 victory over Marietta on Saturday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 17-4 overall and are 4-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Pioneers fall to 1-16, 1-5.
Freshmen Ola Latala (Grosse Ile, Mich.), Jordan Dodson (Worthington) and Katherine Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) all posted 6-0, 6-0 singles victories to lead ONU.
Latala won at No. 2 singles, Dodson won at No. 6 singles and Curry won at No. 5 singles.
Junior Lynn Kelly (Mason) won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1, freshman Kaleigh Cummins (Springfield/Northeastern) won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and freshman Mackenzie Wills (Ada) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.
In doubles play, seniors Christina Corbean (Dayton/Oakwood) and Brittany Toney (Greenwood, Ind.) won 8-2 at No. 1, Latala and sophomore Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) won 8-0 at No. 2 and Wills and Curry won 8-0 at No. 3.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday when they host Baldwin Wallace at 3:30 pm at University Courts.
