LIMA -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team fell 8-1 in it's Ohio Athletic Conference season-opener to John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis Center in Lima.
The Polar Bears fall to 13-3 overall and 0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Blue Streaks improve to 6-8, 2-0.
Senior Christina Corbean (Dayton/Oakwood) led the Polar Bears in the contest.
Corbean won 7-5, 4-6, 10-5 at No. 3 singles in a competitive battle for Northern.
The Polar Bears return to action Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 3:30 pm as they travel to Westerville to take on Otterbein.
