Women's Tennis moves indoors to top Mount Union 7-2

LIMA -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team picked up its first Ohio Athletic Conference victory of the season with a 7-2 decision over Mount Union Saturday afternoon at the Westwood tennis and Fitness Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 10-2 overall and are 1-1 in OAC play, while the Purple Raiders fall to 9-5, 2-2.
Sophomore Lynn Kelly and senior Taryn Stromback led Ohio Northern with wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles and a victory at No. 1 doubles.
ONU swept the doubles courts as senior Meghan Letizia and junior Brittany Toney won at No. 2 doubles and senior Elise Smith and sophomore Morgan McGlothlin won at No. 3 doubles.
Letizia won at No. 3 singles and Smith won at No. 6 singles for ONU.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday against Berea (Ky.) in the first of five matches at the OAC Tennis Fest at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason this weekend.
