Women's Tennis improves to 9-1 on the season with 8-1 victory at Adrian (Mich.)

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Seniors Taryn Stromback and Meghan Letizia each posted 6-0, 6-0 singles victories to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team to an 8-1 victory at Adrian (Mich.) on Wednesday afternoon at the Craft Tennis Complex.
The Polar Bears (9-1 overall) swept the three doubles matches and won five of the six singles courts in the win.
The Bulldogs fall to 4-5 on the season.
Sophomore Lynn Kelly won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, junior Brittany Toney won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles and senior Elise Smith won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 6 singles for ONU.
In doubles, Kelly and Stromback won 8-2 at No. 1, Letizia and Toney won 8-3 at No. 2 and Smith and sophomore Morgan McGlothlin won 8-3 at No. 3.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday when they travel to John Carroll for their Ohio Athletic Conference opener.
