WESTERVILLE - The Ohio Northern women's tennis team defeated Otterbein Wednesday 6-3 at the Tennis Courts to improve to 11-3 overall and 3-0 Ohio Athletic Conference.
Otterbein falls to 8-5 overall and 3-2 OAC.
Junior Meghan Letizia led the Polar Bears as she posted a 2-0 record on the afternoon.
Letizia won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and combined with senior Michelle Tuma to win 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.
Junior Christina Corbean won No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
The team of junior Taryn Stromback and freshman Lynn Kelly combined to win No. 3 doubles 8-2.
Kelly also claimed a victory at No. 2 singles winning 6-2, 6-0, while Stromback won No. 5 singles 6-1, 1-6, 6-2.
The Polar Bears will return to action Friday at the Lindner Tennis Center located in Mason where ONU will take on Berea, Ky.
