Women's Tennis sweeps Wittenberg 9-0

LIMA — Junior Meghan Letizia and freshman Morgan Schaeffer each posted 6-0, 6-0 singles wins to lead Ohio Northern to a 9-0 women's tennis victory over Wittenberg on Sunday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 8-2, while the Tigers fall to 1-3.
Letizia won at No. 3 singles and combined with senior Michelle Tuma to win 8-0 at No. 3 doubles to complete her perfect day.
Schaeffer won at No. 5 singles.
Freshman Morgan McGlothlin won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles and freshman Lynn Kelly won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.
Junior Christina Corbean and sophomore Brittany Toney won 6-1, 6-2 at Nos. 2 and 4 singles, respectively.
Corbean and Toney won 9-8(4) at No. 1 doubles and Kelly and junior Taryn Stromback won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles.
The match was part of a men's/women's doubleheader with Wittenberg at Westwood.
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday afternoon with a non-league match at Walsh.
