Women's Tennis advances to OAC Tournament Finals for third straight season

MASON -- The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will make its third consecutive appearance in the OAC Tournament Finals after defeating No. 4-seed John Carroll 5-0 on Friday afternoon at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
The Polar Bears, who are the defending OAC Tournament champions, are now 25-4 on the year, while the Blue Streaks end their season at 8-11.
ONU will now face No. 3-seed Otterbein in the OAC Tournament Championship on Saturday at 2 pm.
ONU swept all three doubles courts, winning each match 8-4.
Freshman Rachael Miller and junior Michelle Tuma won at No. 1, sophomore Brittany Miller and freshman Taryn Stromback won at No. 2 doubles and freshman Meghan Letizia and junior Carly Olmstead were victorious at the No. 3 position.
In singles play, Stromback won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
Brittany Miller then clinched the match, scoring a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
