Women's Tennis moves to 4-0 with sweeps of Rose Hulman (Ind.) and Bluffton

BLUFFTON--The Ohio Northern women's tennis team picked up a pair of 9-0 victories over Rose Hulman (Ind.) and Bluffton Saturday afternoon on the campus of Bluffton.
The wins move the Polar Bears to 4-0 on the season.
Rose Hulman falls to 1-1 while Bluffton falls to 0-2.
Against Rose Hulman, Northern was able to pick up all three doubles courts.
Senior Christie Gales and junior Michelle Tuma won by an 8-1 score at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore Kristin Cellentani and Brittany Miller were victorious by an 8-2 score at No. 2 doubles.
Junior Carly Olmstead and Lauren Rife scored an 8-4 win at No 3. doubles.
ONU kept things rolling in singles play.
Tuma picked up a 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Freshman Christina Corbean won a tough match at No. 2 singles by a 6-2, 6-4 score.
Freshman Meghan Letizia won by a 6-3, 6-0 score at No. 3 singles while Cellentani won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
Miller won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Olmstead rounded out the sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
In the second match against Bluffton, Northern did not drop a game on eight of the nine courts. The teams played eight game pro sets.
Corbean and Letizia teamed up for the 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
Gales and Miller won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles and Rife and freshman Taryn Stromback notched 8-0 wins at No. 3 doubles.
Letizia picked up the 8-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Corbean scored an 8-0 win at No. 2 singles.
Miller won 8-1 at No. 3 singles and Stromback won 8-0 at No. 4 singles.
Gales and Rife won 8-0 at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively.
Ohio Northern will be in action again on Friday when they play in the Oberlin Invitational.
