Sophomore Kelsi Wurm wins No. 6 singles court to lead Women's Tennis at U. of Dayton
Sophomore Kelsi Wurm posted a 7-5, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team in a 6-1 loss at NCAA Division I foe Dayton Sunday afternoon indoors at the Five Seasons Racquet Club.
The Polar Bears fall to 7-1 on the season, while the Flyers improve to 1-7.
Wurm was Northern's lone victory in the match, which was scored using the NCAA Division I 7-point standard where the three doubles matches count for just one team point.
Junior Christie Gales exteded her No. 5 singles match to three sets before falling 6-3, 4-6, 10-8.
The Polar Bears will return to action March 6 at Webber (Fla.) International.
