Christie Gales leads Women's Tennis to 5-4 victory at Wittenberg with come-from-behind singles win

SPRINGFIELD — Junior Christie Gales snapped a 4-4 tie with a come-from-behind victory at No. 5 singles to give the Ohio Northern Women's Tennis team a 5-4 win at Wittenberg on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-0, while the Tigers fall to 1-1.
With the match even at 4-4, Gales came through with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win to keep ONU undefeated on the season.
Sophomore Emily Mueller and freshman Brittany Miller each posted two wins and sophomore Carly Olmstead won once for ONU.
Mueller won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, Miller won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 3 singles and the pair combined to win 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Olmstead won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Thursday with a tri-meet at Defiance with Lake Erie.
